Promotion in Brazilian jiu-jitsu is slow and personal. An adult can spend years at blue belt, earning four stripes along the way, and the professor decides when someone is ready based on mat time, technique and how they roll. Kids move through their own belt colors before they turn sixteen. Keeping that straight across a busy academy with several instructors is hard with a notebook.

Adult belts, kids belts and stripes
Start from the BJJ adult and BJJ kids templates and adjust them to your academy. Each belt can hold up to four stripes, and stripe changes are recorded in the student's history just like belt promotions, with the date and the coach who gave them.
Because a club can run several rank systems side by side, your kids program and adult program each keep their own belts, curriculum and requirements, and a teenager moving to the adult system keeps their full kids history.

See who is due a stripe, decide on the mat
Set requirements per rank: a minimum number of classes since the last promotion, minimum months at the current belt, a minimum age and required curriculum techniques. Turn on coach approval and a student only shows as ready once a coach has recommended them.
ClubTide shows a readiness percentage and a ready-to-promote list for each group. It never promotes on its own: a professor, coach or admin confirms each stripe or belt, one at a time or in bulk at the end of a promotion night.

Gi, no-gi, fundamentals and open mat
Programs are free text, so you can set up Gi, No-Gi, Fundamentals, Advanced, Competition Team or Kids BJJ exactly as you teach them. Each group has a location, a capacity and assigned coaches, and the weekly schedule turns into class sessions on the calendar.
Coaches open the Today screen on their phone and mark who is on the mat as present, late, excused, absent or trial. Coaches only see the groups they teach, and every class counts toward the next stripe automatically. Move or cancel a session and families are notified.

Memberships, family plans and online payments
Create membership plans for adults, kids, families or annual prepaid members, with weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual billing and an optional setup fee. Give siblings or couples a percentage family discount, pause a membership for an injury, and let ClubTide issue invoices every period.
Members pay by card into your academy's own Stripe account, and can save a card for optional autopay. Cash and bank transfers are recorded just as easily. Past-due accounts are flagged after your grace period, but nobody is locked out of class.

Does ClubTide support BJJ stripes?
Yes. The BJJ templates include up to four stripes per belt, and you can change the number. Every stripe is saved in the student's rank history with the date and the coach who gave it.
Can I run the kids belt system separately from adults?
Yes. There is a BJJ kids template with white, grey, yellow, orange and green belts. It runs as its own rank system with its own curriculum and requirements next to the adult system.
Will ClubTide give stripes automatically after a number of classes?
No. ClubTide shows who meets the requirements you set, such as classes attended and months at belt, but a coach or admin always confirms every stripe and promotion.
Can I track gi and no-gi classes separately?

How do members pay their monthly fees?
Your academy connects its own Stripe account. Members pay invoices by card and can save a card for autopay. You can still record cash or bank transfer payments.
