A rank system that speaks taekwondo
Taekwondo schools usually teach a lot of kids, test often and move students through many colored belts, from 10th gup white belt to 1st gup and then 1st dan. Many schools add intermediate stripe or tip belts, and junior black belts often need a minimum age before the dan grade, sometimes with a poom rank for younger students. Tracking all of that, plus who has learned which poomsae, is a job in itself.

Gup and dan ranks with tip or stripe belts
Rename the template belts to your gup grades, add intermediate ranks such as yellow with green tip, or use stripes as a marker with a maximum per belt. Add dan ranks after 1st gup. You decide the names, colors and order, whether you follow World Taekwondo, ITF or your own association.
Run a separate little tigers or junior system next to the main one if younger students progress differently. Each system keeps its own curriculum and requirements.

Build each rank's curriculum from sections such as poomsae, basic techniques, kicks, kyorugi, breaking and terminology. Taegeuk Il Jang for the first gup, Taegeuk Sam Jang later, the kicking combinations you expect: add them as skills and mark which are required.

Readiness, including minimum black belt age
Set requirements per rank: a minimum number of classes since the last promotion, minimum months at the current gup, required curriculum skills and a minimum age. The minimum age is especially useful for dan ranks, so a talented ten-year-old does not show as ready for black belt before your rules allow it.
Add instructor approval and a student only appears on the ready list after a recommendation. Readiness shows as a percentage with what is still missing.

Poomsae tests and belt testing days
Create a test with date, location, capacity, registration deadline and testing fee. Invite the eligible students by email, and parents register from the portal. Each registration adds the testing fee to the family's invoices, so nobody has to collect envelopes at the door.
After the test, record each result as passed, failed or absent, then promote all the students who passed in one bulk action. The new rank is added to each student's permanent history, linked to that test.

Kids classes, trial students and attendance
Set up programs and groups the way you teach: little tigers, kids, teens, adults, a demo or sparring team. Can I set up gup ranks with tip belts?
Yes. Start from the taekwondo template and add as many ranks as you need, such as yellow with green tip. You can also use stripes as markers on a belt instead of separate ranks.
Can I require a minimum age for black belt?
Yes. Any rank can have a minimum age, calculated from the student's date of birth. Students below it will not show as ready for that rank.
How do I track poomsae for each belt?
Add the poomsae to the curriculum of each rank and mark them as required. Instructors record each student's progress, and readiness stays incomplete until the required forms are done.
Do parents register for belt tests online?
