Mindbody Business combines studio software with the Mindbody consumer app, where people discover and book classes. It offers three plans, Starter, Accelerate and Ultimate. Only the entry price is published: from $79 a month per location in North America and from €99 a month per location in Europe. When the marketplace brings you a new client, Mindbody takes 20% of that client's first purchase, capped at $30.
ClubTide focuses on running a club once people have joined: members who progress through ranks, parents who pay for several children, coaches who take attendance on their phone, and the licences, medical certificates and consents of youth sport. It is used by martial arts gyms, sports clubs, dance studios and music schools in five languages.
If most of your new clients come from consumer apps and drop-in bookings, Mindbody may remain the better fit. If your members stay for years and their parents pay, read on.

Published prices, every location included
ClubTide has one price per size of club, published for every plan: $49 a month for up to 50 active athletes, $79 for up to 100, $129 for up to 200 and $179 for up to 400. Every feature, location, coach and parent is included, and archived members never count. Mindbody publishes its entry price per location, and its higher plans are priced on request.
Members and parents pay into your club's own Stripe, PayPal or Authorize.net account at the processor's standard rate under your own agreement, and ClubTide adds no fee of its own.

Belts and grades built in
ClubTide has belt and grade tracking built in. Start from a preset (BJJ, karate, taekwondo, judo, Qwan Ki Do, dance grades, ballroom medals, music grades or levels) or build your own with curriculum sections and skills. ClubTide shows who is ready for promotion from classes attended, months at rank, age, required skills and coach approval, and coaches promote one athlete or a whole group.

Clubs usually train in regular groups rather than drop-in classes. In ClubTide coaches open today's session on their phone and mark each athlete present, late, excused, absent or trial, and members or parents can check in by scanning a QR code at the entrance. Private one-to-one lessons warn about scheduling conflicts.

Parents, children and the paperwork of youth sport
In ClubTide the family is the account holder: several guardians, each with their own login, any number of children, one invoice with a sibling discount and one saved card for autopay. Parents see schedules, attendance, ranks, invoices and documents in a portal on any phone, in English, Romanian, German, Spanish or French. Federation licences, medical certificates and insurance come with expiry reminders, consent forms are versioned with PDF copies, and data is hosted in the EU (Germany).

When Mindbody may suit you better
Mindbody includes things ClubTide does not offer: a consumer marketplace app that brings new clients, ClassPass and Reserve with Google integrations, a customized website in every plan, a point of sale with inventory, a Check-In kiosk app, a branded app on its higher plans and CRM and marketing automation on Ultimate. If you depend on drop-in bookings and new clients from consumer apps, Mindbody is a strong choice.
ClubTide is a better fit when your members stay, progress through ranks and are often children whose parents pay, and you want published prices with every location included.

Does ClubTide bring me new clients like the Mindbody app?
No. ClubTide has no consumer marketplace. New families sign up through your own online registration forms, which create the family, members, consent and group once you approve them. In return there is no commission on new members.
Can I import my clients from Mindbody?
Yes. Export your client list as a CSV file and upload it to ClubTide. The importer matches the columns, shows a preview and skips duplicates before anything is saved.
Will my clients' saved cards move over?
Saved cards cannot be copied between software providers. Families save their card again in the ClubTide parent portal, either when they pay their first invoice or from the payments page.
Does ClubTide have a website builder or point of sale?
No. ClubTide focuses on members, ranks, attendance, billing and parents. It has no website builder, point of sale or marketing automation.
