Two different ideas of club software
Gymdesk grew out of a martial arts tool into a broad gym platform: memberships and billing, belt promotions, a kiosk and member app, plus lead management, email and text automations, a website builder and a point of sale. Its price follows your active members, and the same plan costs less when you process payments through Gymdesk Payments or a partner.
ClubTide focuses on what happens inside the club: members who progress through ranks, parents who pay for several children, coaches who take attendance on their phone, and the documents, consents and federation licences that come with youth sport. It is used by martial arts gyms, sports clubs, dance studios and music schools in five languages.
If you rely on Gymdesk's marketing automations or sell gear through its point of sale, it may remain the better fit. If you mostly use it to run classes, ranks and billing, read on.

A lower price, whichever processor you use
Gymdesk's published prices are $25 to $40 a month higher when you keep your own processor instead of Gymdesk Payments, and each extra location adds $50 or $100 a month. ClubTide has one price per size of club: $49 a month for up to 50 active athletes and $79 for up to 100, with every location, coach and feature included.
Members, coaches and parents pay into your club's own Stripe, PayPal or Authorize.net account, and ClubTide adds no fee of its own to those payments.

Families, not just members
In ClubTide a family is the account holder: one parent or several, any number of children, one invoice with a sibling discount and one saved card for autopay. Adults who train for themselves get their own account automatically. Can I import my data from Gymdesk?
Yes. ClubTide has a dedicated Gymdesk import that reads the members export and, if you add them, the memberships, payments and attendance exports. It creates families, groups, rank systems, membership plans and past payments, and shows a preview before saving.
Will my members' saved cards move over?
Saved cards cannot be copied between software providers. Families save their card again in the ClubTide parent portal, either when they pay their first invoice or from the payments page.
Is ClubTide cheaper than Gymdesk?
